The Sultan of Oman, Sultan Qaboos bin Said, was known for commissioning special Rolex watches that featured the national emblem of Oman, the Khanjar dagger and swords, to give as gifts to important people. We are delighted to be offering this very special example of such a watch that we believe would have been a special order by the Sultan and ordered and delivered through Asprey, London. This is a rare reference too, 1807, with hand-finished bark effect on the bezel and centre-links of the bracelet.

The 36mm yellow gold case is in good condition with very crisp detail on the bark-effect bezel still. The watch’s case back has, importantly, the full serial inside and the ASPREY stamp on the outside. The champagne pie-pan dial is in fantastic condition with a very strong red Khanjar logo in the lower half where normally there would be the COSC text. The President bracelet remains in excellent condition with bark texture on the centre links and a non-concealed clasp that will fit a wrist size up to 19cm. The watch has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
