There is no watch more classic than a Tank Louis, named after Cartier's founder's grandson, Louis Cartier, who ran the Paris division of the Cartier business. This model is considered the standard for all Tank watches.

This particular piece is extra special as it is a very rare platinum version in ultra-flat (only 5.5 mm thick), also known as "extra-plate," measuring 30 x 24 mm.

Nicknamed "Pré CPCP," these watches were launched just before Cartier decided to enhance their most iconic timepieces with high-quality movements and hand-finished dials, under the "Cartier Paris Collection Privée" moniker.

The watch features a beautifully hand-finished guilloché dial in a creamy silver color, black painted Roman numerals with a hidden Cartier logo at 7 o'clock, and blued sword-shaped hands. It comes with a slightly used original Cartier strap and an 18k white gold Cartier folding buckle.

Powered by the hand-wound Cartier 21MC movement (based on a Frédéric Piguet Cal. 21), this watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
